Reed Switches

Reed switches are often used if a fluid level needs to be monitored or a limit switch magnetically actuated.
At Leicht + Müller these switches are pre-assembled, attached to the assembly by means of resistance welding, sealed media-tight via ultrasonic welding and tested thoroughly.

Switching times and contact resistances are evaluated and documented. A magnetic field is generated by means of a magnetic coil for this purpose and the switching characteristics are subsequently observed.

The measurement data is stored in a database and the tested sensor provided with a data matrix code or a date code.
